Shopping

How do I create an account?
To create an account, click on the "Register" button at the top of the page. Fill in your details including name, email, phone number, and password. You can also register using your Google or Facebook account.
How do I search for products?
Use the search bar at the top of the page. You can search by product name, brand, category, or description. You can also filter results by price range, category, vendor, and more.
How do I add items to my cart?
Browse our products and click on any item to view details. On the product page, select the quantity (if applicable) and click "Add to Cart". You can also click "Buy Now" to proceed directly to checkout.
Can I save items for later?
Yes! You can add items to your wishlist by clicking the heart icon on any product. Your wishlist items will be saved to your account for future reference.

Payment

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept various payment methods including:
  • Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money)
  • Bank Transfer
  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) - select areas only
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely! We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your payment information. We never store your full credit card details on our servers. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways.
How do I pay with Mobile Money?
During checkout, select "Mobile Money" as your payment method. You will receive a prompt on your phone to authorize the payment. Enter your PIN to complete the transaction.
Can I get a refund if I overpaid?
Yes, if you believe you were overcharged, please contact our support team within 7 days of your purchase. We will investigate and process any valid refunds within 5-7 business days.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver throughout Rwanda, with express delivery available in Kigali and surrounding areas. We are constantly expanding our delivery network to serve more locations.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary by location:
  • Kigali: Same day delivery (for orders before 12 PM)
  • Other cities: 1-2 business days
  • Rural areas: 3-5 business days
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery fees are calculated based on your location and order weight. Orders over 50,000 RWF qualify for FREE delivery within Kigali. You can see the exact delivery cost at checkout before finalizing your order.
Can I track my order?
Yes! Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via SMS and email. You can also track your order status in your account under "My Orders".
What if I'm not available to receive my delivery?
Our delivery team will contact you before arriving. If you're not available, you can arrange for someone else to receive the package or reschedule for a convenient time. We will attempt delivery twice before returning the package to the seller.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?
We offer a 7-day return policy for most items. Products must be:
  • Unused and in original packaging
  • Not customized or personalized
  • Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase
Certain items like underwear, swimwear, and opened cosmetics cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
How do I initiate a return?
To initiate a return:
  1. Go to "My Orders" in your account
  2. Select the order containing the item you want to return
  3. Click "Return Item" and follow the prompts
  4. Select the reason for return and confirm
Our team will review your request within 24 hours.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. The refund will be issued to your original payment method or as store credit, depending on your preference.
Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?
Yes! You can request an exchange for a different size, color, or similar product. If the new item has a different price, you will either pay the difference or receive a refund for the difference.

Vendor Partnership

How do I become a vendor on YDShop?
To become a vendor:
  1. Click "Become a Vendor" at the bottom of the page
  2. Fill out the vendor application form with your business details
  3. Upload required documents (Business License, TIN, ID)
  4. Submit your application for review
  5. Our team will review and contact you within 2-3 business days
What are the requirements to become a vendor?
Requirements include:
  • Valid business registration in Rwanda
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • National ID or Passport
  • Quality products with clear images and descriptions
  • Ability to fulfill orders within agreed timelines
Are there any fees to join as a vendor?
Registration is free! We charge a small commission on each sale (15-20% depending on product category). There are no monthly subscription fees or hidden costs.
How do I manage my products and orders?
Once approved, you will have access to a vendor dashboard where you can:
  • Add and manage product listings
  • Update inventory and prices
  • Process and fulfill orders
  • View sales reports and analytics
  • Communicate with customers
How and when do I get paid?
Vendor payments are processed weekly (every Friday). Funds are transferred directly to your registered bank account or mobile money wallet. A detailed payout report is sent to your email.

Rider Partnership

How do I become a delivery rider?
To join our delivery team:
  1. Click "Become a Rider" at the bottom of the page
  2. Fill out the rider application form
  3. Upload required documents (Driving License, ID, Motorcycle documents)
  4. Submit your application
  5. Our team will contact you for a brief interview
What are the requirements for riders?
Requirements include:
  • Valid motorcycle driving license
  • Own a functioning motorcycle
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • National ID or Passport
  • Basic knowledge of your delivery area
How do I earn money as a rider?
Riders earn per delivery based on distance and urgency. Earnings are credited to your wallet weekly. You can track your earnings, deliveries, and ratings in the rider app.
What are the working hours?
You have complete flexibility! Choose your own working hours. Most deliveries are between 8 AM and 8 PM. Peak hours (lunch and dinner) offer higher earning potential.

Account & Security

How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and we will send you a password reset link. The link expires after 1 hour for security reasons.
How can I update my account information?
Log in to your account and navigate to "My Profile" or "Account Settings". You can update your personal information, contact details, shipping addresses, and preferences from there.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes, we take data protection seriously. Your personal information is encrypted and stored securely. We never share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required to fulfill your orders.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, go to Account Settings > Privacy > Delete Account. Please note this action is irreversible and will cancel any pending orders. Contact support if you need assistance.

We commit to resolving most issues within 48 hours.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel an order only if it has not yet been shipped. Go to "My Orders", select the order, and click "Cancel Order". Once shipped, you will need to wait for delivery and then initiate a return.
